This stunning Japanese Satsuma vase stands approximately 24 inches tall and features intricate hand-painted Moriage enamel work with gold detailing. The vase depicts traditional floral and carriage motifs, richly decorated with raised enamel and fine gilding throughout.
A beautiful example of mid-20th-century Kyoto Satsuma ware, this piece showcases the refined craftsmanship and vibrant artistry of Japanese export ceramics from the post-war period.
The vase bears the SATSUMA mark (薩摩焼) and numbered inspection marks on the base.
It’s made from glazed ceramic earthenware, typical of authentic Satsuma pieces, with a warm beige crackle glaze and ornate gold relief designs.
